Aldert and Emilie (brother and sister) have played klezmer music together for a lot of years already, on accordion and violin. Hiske, a classmate of Aldert, appeared to play clarinet and liked klezmer music too. In November 2006 we first played together for a performance on a Bar Mitswa. This first appearance was succesful, and soon we played regularly, on occasions varying from Hanukkah to garden parties. After a lot of deliberation we decided our name, spiel klezmer spiel,the name of a klezmer song. In May 2007 Hiske's sister, Sietske, joined us with her trumpet and later also with a baritone. For our participation in the Gouden Pet we thought up our first musical play: 'Eisik, a musical story with a moral'. We hope a lot will follow!

Recent performances:

• At the The Hague 'UITFestival', we were playing in front of the stand of the Royal Conservatoire.
• We played for the patients of the Rijnland Hospital Leiderdorp, through the hospital's broadcasting.
